Age and Aging Advantages and Disadvantages
Many of these abilities have had their point values adjusted. This is because outside attacks or effects that unnaturally age a character, growing older is a very rare feature of most games due to the generally short in game timelines.
Perk: Longevity [1 point]
If your effective HT is 16 or lower you only fail aging rolls on a 17 or 18. If your effective HT is 17 or higher, only on an 18.
Ageless [2 points]
You do not grow older. Normally this occurs at adulthood, but some characters may be cursed with eternal childhood, or discover the secrets of agelessness only after already becoming very old. Choose an appropriate effective age for your character based on their racial template and place this under appearance.
You are not immune to aging effects, you simply do not age naturally. Attacks or effects that unnaturally age you (such as Leech) still work, but you do not resume aging nor regain lost years once the effect is over.
Enhancements:
Age Control (+50% per level)
You can control the rate at which you age! Your natural rate is zero, but every level lets you age forward or backwards at a rate up to your maximum.
Level 1: One year per year.
Level 2: One year per month.
Level 3: One year per week.
Level 4: One year per day.
Level 5: 10 years per day.
Each additional level multiplies the age control rate by 10.
NOTES: The base advantage is effectively Longevity with Cosmic: No Roll Required.
Immunity to Aging [5] (aka Unaging )
You do not age naturally and are immune to effects that would unnaturally age you (such as Leech). Choose an effective age for your character based on their racial template and place this under appearance.
Enhancements:
Cosmic: Defensive (+50%)
The concept of age does not apply to you and nothing can cause aging effects on you.
Age Control (+20% per level)
You can control the rate at which you age! Your natural rate is zero, but every level lets you age forward or backwards at a rate up to your maximum.
Level 1: One year per year.
Level 2: One year per month.
Level 3: One year per week.
Level 4: One year per day.
Level 5: 10 years per day.
Each additional level multiplies the age control rate by 10.
Simplified Aging Tables
These tables take into account only HT as a measure of aging. Roll to see if an attribute drops only if it's value exceeds the effective HT score. This is a simple pass/fail roll with no critical effects.
Glossary
Effective HT: Total HT score after adding medical TL bonus and fitness modifiers.
Success %: Chance to not lose a point of HT on each aging roll
HT Drop Steps: Average number of rolls (steps) before losing a point of HT.
Total Steps: Total number of rolls (steps) to die from aging with that HT level, on average.
Death Age: Average age of death with that Effective HT.
